Schedule 1 of the Children, Schools and Families Bill is proposing to amend the current education act in order to give Local Authorities new powers over home education.

Schedule 1 - which is enabled by Clause 26 - will alter certain sections of the current legislation, in several places in the current legislation. The resulting puzzle of references to different sections and amendments can be difficult to put together as a coherent and readable whole.

These pages have been created to show how those changes will look once the Education Act is amended and to try and decipher what this will mean in reality.
